Conveniently set in the bustling suburb of Hoole, the Lodge Bar opened at the Bawn Lodge in the summer of 2007 as a small hotel bar serving the local community. It has since grown to become a thriving public bar that has gained a great reputation throughout the city and has been granted a number of awards over the last few years.
The Lodge Bar was awarded Silver in the prestigious ‘Best Bar’ category at the Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle awards in both 2011 and 2012 and was awarded ‘Bar of the season’ by Chester and south Clwyd Camra in Autumn 2011. It has gained this reputation by offering quality products at a competitive price, served by both knowledgeable and friendly staff.
The Lodge Bar is a modern and welcoming bar with a warm and relaxed atmosphere which is popular with all ages and demographics. The bar opens daily at 11am and closes at 11pm Sunday through Thursday and at midnight on weekends. The Lodge Bar is very popular with the local community and can be busy in the evenings with patrons coming from the surrounding areas to frequent it. Freshly cooked food is served daily until 8pm with Sunday Roasts on offer during the Winter months. Keep an eye out for our new outside pizza oven from which we will be serving handmade pizzas from throughout the summer. The Lodge Bar has a large amount of outside seating and a covered smoking area and is a great place to visit and relax during the hotter months. There is a large free car park, so whether you are local or travelling the Lodge Bar is easily accessible. Only a 10 minute walk from Chester City Centre and Chester railway station or a 2 minute drive from the A55 or M53 the Lodge Bar is perfectly located for a place to start or end your evening.
